Joseph M. Dwyer Memorial
In July 2003, Joe Dwyer was dignosed with pleural mesothelioma, a rare form of lung cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. He fought bravely and tirelessly with constant cheomotherapy and radiation. He became a pioneer for research in helping to study and attempts towards a cure for the disease. Through it all, Dwyer remained a kind, fun loving, and gentle man to his family and friends they will always remember. Joe Dwyer died Dec 29, 2005 surrounded by his family at his home in Leadville, CO.
